From defence secrets to the silver screen
It all began in Lyon, the historic capital of textiles. While searching for a fabric that was both light and indestructible, we discovered that the car airbags used exactly what we were looking for.
The manufacturers told us it was "secret defence". We didn't give up. After months of investigation, we identified the fabric: a high tenacity polyamide from Dupont de Nemours.
For the waterproof range, the inspiration came from elsewhere: on a beach in Hong Kong, watching kitesurfers. Their inflatable bladders were light, strong and perfectly watertight. The technology was there, right in front of our eyes.

Our first screen — 8 metres of aluminium
An ultra-lightweight screen, featuring a structure of interlocking aluminium tubes and a stretched canvas with an 8-metre base. Weighing just a few kilos, it can be assembled in a matter of minutes by a single person. Surprisingly flexible, with exceptional wind resistance. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This is the original prototype — proof that the idea works.
The School for Fairground Workers
To learn how to erect structures, head to the village. The fairground workers, who are often looked down upon, are willing to share their knowledge. Two days of intensive training. At the end: “Now you’re a proper fairground worker; you can go on tour.”
The fatal error
We’re thinking big: a 15-metre structure made from a lorry tarpaulin. On delivery, it weighed 600 kg. Impossible to handle without heavy machinery, impossible to assemble quickly on site. It was the most costly lesson in history: lightness isn’t an option, it’s fundamental. Everything that followed stemmed from this failure.
The Breton sailmaker
In La Trinité-sur-Mer, in Brittany, a sail-making workshop became the birthplace of the first screens. Jean-Christophe, a master sail-maker, was an expert in sewing techniques. Together, they developed a revolutionary screen that could be folded away into a sail bag after each screening.
L'étincelle - Hong Kong
On a beach in Hong Kong, a kitesurf attracts attention. Its inflatable tubes, light and strong, gave rise to a crazy idea: what if we could show films in the open air with a screen as light as a sail?
The secret of airbags
In Lyon, the former capital of fabric, an investigation leads to the best-kept secret of the automobile: the fabric used in airbags. A high-tenacity polyamide from DuPont de Nemours. Light, indestructible, perfect.
